Wendy Kent reported that the cards have been clear with signatures. There are 83 people participating.
C. Directory
Peggy Rowland thanked Ginner Alger and her committee for putting together a really great Directory
D. Publicity
Peggy thanked the Doris Mclaughlin and Michelle Sherwood for their work. The bag raffle for the Member Guest will be 3 for $10 and for 2 rounds on Leopard’s Chase will be 3 for $5.
E. Handicap Committee
Peggy announced that Ann Turner has replaced her on the committee this year. Toni Roe reminded everyone to put last names and dates of the cards before placing them in the box
F. By Laws
No report at this time. The revisions will be discussed under old business.
G. Local Rules
Sally Duffy reported that the committee met in February. Additional members are Deb MacFarlane, Jeanne Maxon, and Karen McCloskey. Several issues were discussed regarding concerns on several holes. Many of these had previously been voted on or are on the web site. The focus committee will discuss the placement of the tee box on LP 1 the #1 handicap hole.
H. Hospitality
Pam McCafferty thanked those that provided food and asked that they be acknowledged. Member should only be asked once a year to bring a dish.
I. Member-Guest Tournament
The committee had unveiled the theme of 50’s PAR TEE before the call to order. Jeanne Maxon reported that the committee has been working hard and the plans are going well for July 13. The maximum handicap allowed will be 41.
J. Rally for the Cure
Mary Lou Atkinson and Patti Dugan said they plan a meeting in the next few weeks
K. Welcome Committee
Nancy MacDonald said the committee welcomed 8 new members since the last meeting.
L. Web Page
Peggy thanked the committee and expressed how impressive the new web page is.
M. Charity Committee
Ruth Ray reported that the Charity League event had been rained out. Two charities have been selected the Providence Home in Southport for teenagers will be the recipient of the proceeds of July 8 event and Union Elementary School wish list will benefit from the September 30 event.
N. Club 25
Grace Bradicich reported that the Schedules are out and congratulated the league members who won during the last tournament.
O. Interclub
Peggy Rowland reported that Ocean Ridge is a half point out of first place in the Interclub
events.
V. Unfinished Business
Peggy Jones reported that the By Laws committee recommended revising the dates stated in Article 7, Sec 1 of the By Laws to November 1 –October 31. Upon a motion by Pat Brooks, seconded by Patsy Mays and carried unanimously, it was
MOVED: That the dates be changed to November 1 –October 31.
VI. New Business
The Charity Committee purchased a banner to advertise their events and the committee requested additional funds to cover the cost. After much discussion, on motion by Pat Brooks, seconded by Lorraine Crosby and carried by majority vote, it was
MOVED: That the funds to cover the cost of the Banner be taken out of the Charity Committee’s budget as recommended by the Board.
VII. Discussion
Carole Milnichuk was congratulated on her hole in one on Panther’s 6.
VIII. Adjournment
