End of Year Meeting Minutes

I.                    Call to order and Opening Remarks

 

The meeting was called to order at 1:05 PM by President Peggy Rowland.  Peggy thanked the membership for attending the luncheon and thanked Carole Schuster and Ruth Ray for organizing such a wonderful afternoon.  Carole Schuster thanked her committee for their hard work organizing the luncheon and the beautiful decorations and Christmas tiles.  Peggy thanked the many standing committees that had worked so hard for a successful 2010 League year.

 

II.                   Nominations

 

Frankie Neal presented the 2011 Officer Slate:  Mary Hankes, Secretary;   Jan Henson, Treasure;   Ann Turner, Vice-President; Carole Schuster, President.  Frankie asked for any additional nominations from the floor.  There were no additions to the Slate.  Upon a motion by Michelle Sherwood, seconded by Gwen Fitzgerald and carried unanimously, it was

Moved: to elect  the  2011 ORLGA Officer Candidates as presented.

III.                Other Business

Jeanne Maxon congratulated Grace Bradicich   on a very special Birthday  and spoke warmly of her many years of League play.  A cake was presented and Happy Birthday was sung. A short break from proceeding ensued to enjoy the cake.

 Peggy congratulated Jeanne on placing second in the Tournament of Champions  in  2010 and thanked everyone  for Ladybird, Club 25 and Interclub participation.

 

IV.               Gifts for Officers

Carole Schuster thanked the 2010 Officers individually and presented  them with gifts of appreciation.

 

V.                 President's Cup

Mickie Underhill  announced the finalists for the President's Cup:  Pam Bank and Pam Fitzgerald,  winners;  Joyce Edwards and Jan Cameron,  second place.   Awards were presented

 

VI.               Ringer's

Becky Williams  thanked  her  committee  members Pam Bank and Olive Larson.  She also thanked Karen McCloskey, Pat Brooks and Wendy Kent for their transition support.

Becky Williams, Pam Bank and Oliver Larson presented the Ringer's Awards to the Flight winners recognizing several categories of excellence.

 

VII.             Most Improved Award

Peggy Rowland awarded the Most Improved Player Award to Sue Carano.

 

VIII.           Luncheon Committee

 

The Luncheon Committee held a raffle for door prizes and table decorations.

 

           XI.    Adjournment

            The next meeting will be held January 11, 2011. 

            The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 PM.
